Overcome CD burn buffer underrun errors

I have a Teac CD-W58E CD-rewriter and a Pioneer DVD-ROM drive, both of which came with my two-month-old PC. When I tried to burn a CD using the CD Copy option of Nero 5.0 I received a message that said: 'Important information: it looks like both your source and your destination drive for the 'on the fly' copy process are connected to the same IDE bus. We would strongly recommend you connect your source and destination drive to different IDE busses'. Copying the CD to the hard drive slows the process down considerably. How can I overcome this?

The explanation of the message you receive is given on the same dialog box. It says: 'An IDE bus cannot handle interleaved read and write commands'. This will reduce the data transfer rate during others. You should also check with your PC manufacturer as to whether reconfiguring the drives would affect the warranty on your nearly new computer.
